Etsy is a great place to find handmade goods from people all over the world. One of the fun things about a crafty community that large is that you can find items based on your favorite pieces of art or pop culture. Every once in a while I get on there and try to find a bunch of cool stuff, and this time I thought it would be worth sharing some Pixar Etsy Goodies!

Pixar Pook-a-Looz

April 3rd, 2010 | Posted in Toys

No, Pixar Pook-a-Looz isn’t a crazy festival I’m having in my backyard or a dance I invented. Pook-a-Looz are the new, cute, urban-inspired plush toys from Disney featuring 30+ characters, including my favorites above, Woody and Buzz.

The Pook-a-Looz are around $12, so I’m going to at least pick up Woody and Buzz. They also have all the classic Disney characters, as well as some from Nightmare Before Christmas and The Muppets. As far as I know, Woody and Buzz are the only two Pixar Pook-a-Looz, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

What other Pixar Characters would you love to see in Pook-a-Looz form? My first two choices would be Mike Wazowski and Sully from Monsters, Inc.

Toy Story Comic Book from Boom! Kids

Toy Story Comic Book

Good news for all of you Pixar comic fans, Boom Kids just released the first issue of it’s new Toy Story comic book! The first arc of the new series is being written by Jesse Blaze Snider and illustrated by Nathan Watson.

I had a chance to read the first issue (#0), and it was a lot of fun! It took me a while to get used to seeing the Toy Story characters in comic book form, but they lend themselves to the medium nicely. The story revolves around Woody and Buzz and feels like a classic Toy Story tale.

Snider came to fame on the MTV show “Rock the Cradle” and is an active musician as well as a comic book writer. You can check out the Boom Studios website for more details, but I highly recommend picking up a copy or two!

Toy Story Double Feature TV Spot

Here’s the TV spot for the Toy Story Double Feature that’s been floating around for a couple days now. I love that they actually put some care into these and aren’t just editing a bunch of clips together.

Also, there’s another reason to be excited about this. The Toy Story 3 trailer will be attached to the double feature! If you’d like some spoilers on the trailer (with new plot details), head over to Jim Hill Media for his round-up.
